Hope has a name

Copy of Blue and White Minimalist Illustrative Christmas Instagram Post (1).png

Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year, isn’t it? Though for many of us, the Christmas excitement can paper over the realities we face in life. Jesus coming into the world over 2000 years ago means we can keep it real and still keep hope at the centre. We would love to invite you to our Christmas events this year. To come and be, come and know hope has a name this Christmas and his name is Jesus.

Follow our socials below and feel free to invite and share all we are up to.

Bags oF HOPE

For the last 8 years, we have been running a hamper/bags of hope outreach to bless those in the city where Christmas might be a struggle. As a church we are aiming to make up 250 bags this year, full of Christmas goodies and a message of hope into the hands of marginalised and forgotten at this time of year. As well as events to raise money for this, you can still give. Each bag costs around £20 so every pound helps. Click the tab 'Give to Bags of Hope' for the giving information.

Being Family

At Christmas

Church is more than Sundays and we are super aware that Christmas places a magnifying glass over what we are feeling. So if its good thats great, but if life is tough Christmas can be a really hard space to be hopeful in. We want to recognise that as a church so are asking 2 questions.

1. Do you have a place at the table on Christmas day for someone who would otherwise spend Christmas alone?

2. Can you create a space for connection over the Christmas holidays? (movie night, walk, games night, meal) for someone who would otherwise be alone?

If its a yes to any of those questions, please email Fiona at Fiona.McKellar@invernessvineyard.co.uk

Merry Christmas from all at Inverness Vineyard
